What is the principle of electromagnetic separator?

An electromagnetic separator is a device used to separate magnetic materials from nonmagnetic materials. It works on the principle of electromagnetism. When a current is passed through a coil of wire, it produces a magnetic field. When this magnetic field is brought close to a magnetic material, it exerts a force on the material, either attracting or repelling it, depending on the polarity of the magnetic fields. This principle is used to separate magnetic materials from nonmagnetic materials, by applying a magnetic field to the mixture of materials and then separating the magnetically attracted materials from the nonmagnetic ones. The electromagnetic separator is widely used in mining, recycling, and other industries that deal with magnetic materials.
